Queens Zoo

To avoid rush hour in New York City, we decided to drive in early and kill time at the Queens Zoo before catching our flight home. Of the three zoos Clara's been to so far, the animals here were by far the most accessible. The zoo, combined with the 80-degree weather, made for the perfect end to a wonderful trip.

Clara was NOT happy about being left in the bald eagle's nest...

...until Daddy came to the rescue.

The coyotes and sea lions were Clara's favorite animal exhibits. The sea lion feeding was especially fun to watch.

Don't be fooled by the egg count. We'll only be having
one more baby chick.

The carousel was Clara's favorite part of the whole day. She was grinning, laughing, and saying "whao" the entire ride.
