After four months of semi-vacation, Jordan starts work today. A few weeks ago he accepted a position to be a store manager with Safeway. He'll spend 9 months in a training program, then he'll be given his own store somewhere in the Portland Metro area.
We're excited because the job allows us to stay in Portland, at least for now. We started looking for a place to live shortly after he accepted the position and we finally found one last week. We'll be living in a duplex in Southeast Portland near the Eastmoreland area. The most exciting part about moving is that we get to see our belongings again after five very long months. Most of our stuff has been in long-term storage -- that includes our furniture, clothes, shoes, books, toys, and all the belongings that feel like home. We can't wait to feel settled again!
