Life's been busy and we haven't blogged much, mainly because we've hardly used our camera lately. But we have lots of pictures from our phones. Here's a glimpse at the last few weeks, captured by our phones.
Jordan and I took Clara to see The Muppets last week. It was a Monday morning and we had the whole theater to ourselves. A few seconds into the movie Clara leaned over to me and whispered, "I love you. This is a GREAT movie." And then as we walked out of the theater she said, "That was so good. Let's leave so we can let someone else watch this GREAT movie!" Apparently she thinks movies are always private showings.
Before Christmas we took the girls to see Christmas lights at Peacock Lane.

I made homemade peppermint marshmallows for Jordan's employees.

The girls and I made reindeer cookies for Santa Claus. I made one of these, Clara made the other. You can probably guess which one is which.

I took Clara to the Dollar Store to pick out Christmas gifts for family members. She made some interesting choices. Bandaids for Nani, cake mix for cousin Jace, a dog toy for cousin Ella, and a glow stick in the shape of a giant thumb for Uncle Jared. Other gifts were exactly what the recipient would want: a puzzle for Uncle Kim, sudoku book for Fa, and a coloring book for Evie.

Jordan took Clara to the dentist for the first time. Dr. Kyle (otherwise known as Uncle Kyle) reports that Clara's teeth look great. Clara loved opening her mouth "like an alligator" and getting pictures (x-rays) taken of her teeth. The staff was shocked at how cooperative Clara was, but it was no surprise to us. Clara loves most new experiences, and going to the dentist was no different. Meanwhile, Evie sat quietly in a chair eating cheerios for the entire appointment.
Clara has made two follow-up visits to her eye doctor. She's had a few tweaks in her prescription, but her eyes are responding well to glasses and she continues to wear them without complaint.

And finally, we've spent lots of time playing together at home. Favorite activities include reading books, having tea parties, and subjecting Evie to Clara's "operations".

I could read Clara and Evie anecdotes all day! When can I get my thumb glow stick? And I like your glasses, too, mama!
In looking at these again, I see that last time I failed to notice that Clara continues to be a girl of her word regarding the pink Gap hat she told you she would wear all the time. : )
