Disneyland was also a highlight of 2014, but we took so many photos and had so much fun it deserves its own post. We went in late October (a perfect time to go!) and met the same friends we went with last year. This year, Evie was exactly 40 inches tall, which happens to be the height necessary to go on most of the big rides including Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror and the Cars ride. She tends to be our cautious child when it comes to amusement parks, so we weren't sure if she'd be willing to try them all. But not only did she try them, she loved them. She proudly informed us that Tower of Terror was her very favorite -- which I think has to be the scariest ride of all.
The many faces of waiting in line at Space Mountain:
Some of the littlest people ever on Space Mountain:
Jordan and I are grateful that our friends like riding the tea cups so we don't have to:
First experience eating cotton candy. Clearly it was a good one:
Lots and lots of smiles:
And the last photo we took before leaving the park. Clearly they were exhausted:
But one of the greatest highlights is that after Disneyland on our drive back home, we met up with our friends Liz, Billy and their daughter Nora for dinner. They live on the other side of the country so it was amazingly good luck that we happened to be in the same part of California on the same weekend.
