A goodbye, a hello, and lots of family time

It was a busy (but fun!) weekend in Hawaii again. Yet another one of Jordan's coworkers is leaving us for the non-Army life, so on Saturday we met at the Cheesecake Factory for a goodbye dinner. Clara dominated far too much of the conversation, as always, and she enjoyed making quite the mess with her Daddy's sticky rice. Little did I know I'd find gobs of rice in my purse the next day. Here's a picture of the group at the end of the night.

Sunday morning Clara spent a little time playing with her new toy, then we went to Family Day at the local Bishop Museum. Clara's been practicing her bye-bye wave non-stop and we captured a photo of her in action.

One of the nice things about living in Hawaii is that we get to see so many old friends when they come here on vacation. Sunday afternoon we met up with Tashana, one of Jordan's friends from Palm Springs. She's visiting Hawaii with her extended family and we spent a relaxing day at the pool with all of them. Here's a photo of Tashana and Clara together.
