Jordan and I agree this year was easily our best Christmas yet. Clara loves everything about this time of year. She loves decorating the tree, waiting for Santa, spending time with family, and both giving and receiving presents. I always have her pick out a handful of gifts for other family members, and she is always very thoughtful and very decisive in her choices. For example, when I asked what she wanted to give Daddy, she immediately said, "a screwdriver, a blue one, because he's always fixing things." This was also the first year that Evie showed excitement about the holidays. Her favorite parts were opening gifts and having lots of opportunities to eat candy. On Christmas morning, she was most excited about the treats in her stocking.
We spent Christmas Eve celebrating with my family, first with a church service and then with a gift exchange and dinner. Then we spent a quiet day at home on Christmas. The girls received a dollhouse from Santa and it proved to be a very successful gift.

Wow, that doll house looks amazing! I can only imagine how much time they've already spent playing with it.
