Lifelong Friends

A few weeks back, my good friend Liz came to Portland with her family on vacation.  We don't get to see each other very often since she lives on the other side of the country, and I was especially excited to meet her 10-month old daughter Nora for the first time.  Liz organized a brunch with a number of our old high school friends who all have children now while she was here.  It was so fun to see all the kids together and catch up with the parents.

Later that day, Liz, her husband Billy, and Nora came over to our house to visit a bit more.  It took Clara a bit to warm up to the idea of a baby touching (and possibly eating!) her toys, but she eventually sat on the floor and played with Nora for quite some time.  Even though we spent the better part of the day with Liz's family, I still felt like we hardly had a chance to visit.  I look forward to lots of future visits and watching our girls grow up together.

Looks like it was a fun day! I hope I can come back to visit again soon. Maybe during the Rose Festival since I love parades.

Thanks for posting! These were so much fun to see and I am going to steal them all. I think my favorite is the one where Evie is smiling at the camera while Nora and Clara are dead serious about playing. First born determination, perhaps? : ) I can't wait to look back on these down the road and say "I can't believe how small they all were the first time they met!"
